As a DUI defense attorney in Virginia, I help those facing DUI and DWI-related charges frequently.

But I also want to contribute to making our community a safer, better place for everyone.

I am proud to introduce my new community initiative: Free Uber, Lyft, and Cab Ride Program to help reduce the number of drunk drivers on the road during the holidays. This holiday season if you decide to go out over the holidays and drink, please make the right choice, the responsible choice, to grab a ride home instead of getting behind the wheel. If you do, I will reimburse you for your fare home, so save that receipt!

Our program is simple: if you go out over the holidays (see: Qualifying 2024 Holidays below) take a ride-share or cab home and I will reimburse you for that ride. Restrictions do apply. Read more about the program for full details.

How it Works:

If you decide to go enjoy the holidays and don’t have a designated driver home, take a ride-share (Uber, Lyft, or cab ride) and I will pay for the ride home.

We want you home safely this holiday season.

Qualifying 2024 Holidays:

• St. Patrick’s Day
• Thanksgiving Eve & Day
• Christmas Eve & Day
• New Year’s Eve & Day (Jan 1, 2025)

Details of the Program:

• Rides must be taken within the Fredericksburg, VA area (i.e. Counties of Spotsylvania, Stafford, King George, Caroline; and the City of Fredericksburg).
• Rides must be taken between 5 pm on the day of the holiday and 10 am the next morning.
• You must be of legal drinking age to qualify (21 and over).
• Valid for one, one-way ride to a safe destination.
• Limit one reimbursement per person.
• A maximum value of $25.00 round-trip anywhere within the Fredericksburg, VA area.
• The maximum value includes a tip of up to 10%. Anything above a 10% tip on the base fare will not be reimbursed.
• Participation in this promotion is limited to the first 15 submissions per holiday.
• All submissions will be returned with a letter notifying you if you qualify or not for reimbursement. We are not liable for lost mail.

When Will I Get My Reimbursement?

Within 14 days of the holiday, you must submit a copy of your receipt and photo ID via mail to our office. We will mail you a check for your reimbursement of a qualifying submission within 30 days of the holiday.
