Meet our new Partner, Ryan Fitzgerald. Mr. Fitzgerald, known as “Fitz” to his friends and colleagues in the legal community, comes to the firm with over 12 years of legal experience as a prosecutor in both Fairfax County, Virginia and Stafford County, Virginia.
Fitz is bringing his vast experience to OUR side of the courtroom to fight for and with us little guys.
Fitz has prosecuted thousands of cases, ranging from felonies to misdemeanors. He’s tried cases from 1st Degree Murder to speeding tickets and just about everything in between. Fitz has extensive experience in drug cases.
Fitz has also provided training to police officers on multiple subjects, including on how to prepare for trial. He’s been featured nationally on Dateline NBC for his successful prosecution of a thirty-year cold case homicide. Fitz was the specialty prosecutor for the Traffic Safety Unit for the Stafford County Sheriff’s Office.
Over the course of his career, Fitz has handled thousands of DWI cases. He specializes in DWI, including Misdemeanor DWI First and Second Offenses, DWI Third and Fourth, DWI Maiming and DWI Manslaughter.
During his time in Stafford, Fitz reviewed incoming DWI’s to prepare other prosecutors for trial. He also led a team of prosecutors assigned to the Forensic Docket, for those DWI cases involving marijuana, blood draws, toxicology and expert witnesses.
Simply put, Fitz knows how to spot possible issues and defenses and apply them to a case.
Beyond that, Fitz knows that real justice means treating people with fairness and respect. It means treating people how you would like to be treated. It means striving to do the right thing. He knows what it means to listen, to care and to stand up for people who need an experienced attorney in their corner.
